For nearly 50 years, James (Jim) Nolan has practiced law as
a litigator and counselor handling cases in general and civil
litigation, administrative law, business and commercial law,
corporate law, construction law, real estate and land use law,
and personal injury law. He is a Partner at Council, Baradel,
Kosmerl & Nolan and previously served as Managing Partner of
the firm from 1987-2015.
Jim sees philanthropy as directly helping people in need and
supporting the organizations that serve them. That’s why in
addition to Jim’s extensive litigation and business experience, he
has been a community leader in many bar, civic, and business
organizations. He is the current Chair of the Board of Chesapeake
Region Accessible Boating (CRAB) and a past Chair of the Board
at the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC),
the University of Baltimore Foundation and Board of Visitors,
Historic Annapolis Foundation, Severn School, and Annapolis
and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce.
Over the years, Jim brought his keen insight and business
acumen to CFAAC through his involvement not only as a
former Board Chair but also as a dedicated committee and
board member.
“CFAAC provides an opportunity to help our entire community
through private funding of organizations, which provide
assistance to those in need,” he said. “Clients who are looking
for ways to give back to our community cannot find a better
philanthropic partner than CFAAC.”
