FIELD OF INTEREST FUNDS
Where giving 昀氀ows
through the community.
Of the $9.7 million in grants CFAAC distributed in 2025, nearly $1.46 million came through Field of Interest
Funds. Guided by the findings of our Community Needs Assessment Report: Poverty Amidst Plenty VIII and
carefully reviewed by our Grants Committee, these Field of Interest grants form a steady river of impact that
strengthens our community.

WOMEN & GIRLS FUND
All county waterways are classi昀椀ed as
impaired. Groundwater
contamination has impacted 昀椀ve
regions, including Annapolis Neck,
Gambrills, and Fort Meade/Odenton.*
Graduation rates are up, but
persistent opportunity and truancy
gaps remain. Behavioral challenges
are on the rise, and funding gaps
leave teachers unable to bring new
ideas to life in the classroom.*
Domestic violence persists. Childcare
shortages force women out of the
workplace, contributing to their
over-representation among ALICE
(Asset Limited, Income Constrained,
Employed) households.*
Public mental health service use
increased by 4%, with the steepest
increases among children ages 6 to
12. Homelessness has increased by
6% since 2022; 31% of those a昀昀ected
are children and youth.*
Rent rose 19% since 2019, leaving
many residents choosing between
rent, utilities, or medical bills.*

greening neighborhoods, this
