In 2025, the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County brought people together through a robust calendar of education events, reaching more than 1,300
attendees across 18 programs spanning community needs, nonprofit capacity building, legacy giving, and board leadership.

UNDERSTANDING ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY TOGETHER
STRENGTHENING THE BOARDS THAT LEAD OUR NONPROFITS
Dr. Pamela Brown, lead author of Poverty Amidst Plenty VIII, led four public
presentations on the 2025 Community Needs Assessment Report, covering
trends in education, health, housing, income, and the environment. Three inperson sessions, two featuring facilitated focus group breakouts, were joined by
a virtual session for those unable to attend in person. Read more on page 12.
The Anna E. Greenberg Board Leadership Symposium brought together 68
nonprofit leaders for a focused conversation on board recruitment, retention, and
engagement, equipping participants with strategies to build more effective, diverse,
and committed boards. Named in honor of a dedicated community leader, the
symposium reflects CFAAC’s long-term investment in the health and sustainability
of Anne Arundel County’s nonprofit sector.
GRANT APPLICATION TRAININGS
This was a two-part program co-hosted with the Nonprofit Center and Arundel
Community Development Services, opening with a virtual webinar introducing
major grant programs and culminating in a hands-on in-person workshop on realworld narratives, budgets, and outcome writing.
